Memorial Day marks the unofficial start of summer. Mittens and the chickens are waking me up well before 6 a.m. now, a sure sign that official summer is not far behind. The garden is jumping and we’re excited to see fruit setting on most crops. Diligence is key, the first signs of rats are apparent (nibbled baby squash yesterday).
