I’ve been chomping at the bit to post this, and now that everything is in place the time has come.
drumroll please…
That’s right, I’ve written a book and it’s coming out in April.
Back in July, 2012, Adams Media approached me to write a gardening book for them and I couldn’t say no. It was a chance to put all the juicy tips and tidbits from years of growing, teaching, and blogging in one place.
It’s full of practical advice on how to set up, plant, and get the most out of your garden. You’ll find tips on:
- natural pest control
- companion planting
- building raised beds
- getting your soil in the best shape ever
- simple recipes for using your harvest
- and much, much more!
Pre-Order Yours Today! Visit GardeningForGeeksBook.com for more details.
The book is slated for release on April 18th, but you can pre-order your copy now from your favorite bookseller, including Amazon, Barnes and Noble, IndieBound and Powell’s Books.
Please share this with your gardenerd friends and let’s get growin’ this spring. Happy Gardening!
Hi Christy, how do I order your book?
Hi Frederick, we’re not quite offering signed copies through Gardenerd yet, in order to give bookstores a chance for exclusivity right now. That said, we’ve noticed a lot of bookstores are still saying “backordered” and Barnes & Noble is only listing the old version in their search. But if you go to https://gardenerd.com/gardening-for-geeks/buy/ you’ll find all the places where it is available, including our link directly to the book on B&N.com, and Amazon, where it is currently available. You can also request copies from your local bookstore in person. It’s available through traditional publishing methods, so you should be able to request it anywhere. Soon we’ll be selling signed copies on Gardenerd.com. Thanks for your interest.
any chance of an ebook version? I just saw this on Amazon, but I don’t buy physical books anymore if I can avoid it…
Yes, Cindy, the ebook will be available in April as well. We’ll have links to all the possible vendors when it becomes available. As with some ebooks, one of my charts couldn’t be formatted properly for the ebook version, so we’ve added it to the Garden Tracker that you can download at https://gardenerd.com/gardening-for-geeks/index.html#bonus. Enjoy!
Great news, Christy! You should market it up here in Portland, OR, where front-yard gardening (alongside sidewalks) is actually commonplace. We Portlanders are GARDEN-NERDS.
Definitely, Al. We’re hoping to reach the whole US! Thanks for spreading the word.
