Spring brings a renewed sense of hope to our daily lives. We spring clean, we clear out the cobwebs; out with the old, in with the new. Such is the case with the Gardenerd Tip of the Week Podcast.
For 10 years, we posted a weekly tip in 2-minutes or less. We ranked in the Top 5 gardening podcasts the entire time. It was fun, but after 10 years and 473 podcasts (and a book compiling all of those into one handy resource – get yours today!), we thought we’d try something different. Behold the New Gardenerd Tip of the Week Podcast!
The new format is fresh for spring: conversations with expert gardeners in their field (sometimes literally) on topics ranging from soil to grafting, from beekeeping to tomato care. Each episode runs between 20-30 minutes, perfect listening during a drive to your next appointment.
Gardenerd Tip of the Week Guests
Our guests include:
Sheri Powell of Compost Teana. We talk dirt vs. soil, and the Soil Food Web.
David King of the Learning Garden – on Grafting
Scott Daigre of TomatoMania – on Tomatoes
Landscape Architect Billy Goodnick – We talk about the basics of landscape design, and Crimes Against Horticulture.
Rob and Chelsea McFarland of Honeylove.org – on natural beekeeping (Part 1 of a beekeeping series)
John Lyons of The Woven Garden – on beekeeping (Part 2 of our beekeeping series)
And Barbara Spencer of Windrose Farms – on growing great tomatoes
And that’s just the beginning! We’re excited to talk to our favorite gardenerds around the country, to grill them for their best tips to pass on to you.
