This is your friendly neighborhood reminder to get out there and vote. November 3rd is election day, and in many states the polls are already open.
Here in California, the ballot is huge, and I know it can feel daunting to learn about each measure, each judge, and candidate for office. But here are some helpful options to make the process easier:

Ballotpedia –
This site shares the details about each item on your local ballot, including who opposes and supports it, and the money spent on promoting or opposing it. It helps inform voters about the measures and candidate endorsements.
Voter Game Plan
LAist offers non-partisan coverage of each item on the Southern California ballot. Like Ballotpedia above, it shares information about who endorses and opposes each measure, candidate, and proposition. They also have a live event you can attend or listen to that helps break down the details on each item. They don’t tell you what to think, but they give you the information to make your own decision.
Get Together with Friends
Two heads are better than one, and more is even better. Gather your friends, assign a different measure and candidate or judge to each person and you’ll cover the ballot more quickly.

As a gardener, you can bet I’m voting for candidates who are fighting to protect the planet from harm. That’s my personal stance. Yours is whatever you decide. Just vote. It matters. This year more than ever.
Make your voice heard this November. Get out there and vote!
