Wordless Wednesday: A Garden’s Progress

Part of the joy of gardening is watching the garden’s progress. Go go from seedling to flowering to fruit is not only engaging, it’s a satisfying reward for hard work. Here’s some inspiration from Gardenerd HQ as the garden progresses this summer.

The Garden’s Progress

Basil sprouts nearby tomato plants.
Tomatoes are flowering. It’s time to feed if you haven’t already (note to self).
The Fuji apple tree sends out another round of blooms.
Recently transplanted lemongrass sends out new shoots.

Dragon Fruit Progress

As potatoes and alyssum grow in our Greenstalk, stachys, poppies, and Love -in-a-mist bloom nearby. Grow a lot in a small space in a Greenstalk. Use our link and discount code (GSGARDENERD) for your own.

New Stuff Coming Along

Italian purple artichoke is giving gifts from the garden.
Henderson’s bush lima beans get going in a bed. Watch our recent video on how to grow them here.
Can you name this flower? A single one shot up in the garden. Looks like delphinium, but might be a native seed instead.
Potato plants flower, signalling that we can harvest ‘new potatoes’ at this point.
The ladies are milling about in their run. We feed them from the garden as crops finish up. They’re getting louder as the days grow longer, but they’re laying consistently.

We hope this inspires you to grow something new this season and enjoy the garden’s progress as you do. That’s where the joy resides.
