1. March in the Garden – Get Your Spring On

Welcome to Spring, gardenerds! Last frost is near for most of the country, and if you haven’t started seeds indoors yet, it’s probably time. There’s still plenty of time to plan your garden on paper (see our planting guide below), and dream big for another great gardening season.

This month Gardenerd HQ, our sprouts for tomatoes, peppers, and parsley have all germinated. We’re picking Romanesco, cabbage, green onions, winter radishes, salad greens and citrus fruits from the garden and mini orchard. There’s a superbloom happening here as well. Nasturtiums, California poppies, calendula, nicotiana, love-in-a-mist, and bells of Ireland are carpeting the yard. Bees are happily collecting pollen and nectar, so we added a super to the hive. This week we’ll be planting our Greenstalk Garden and harvesting potatoes. Hang in for more details.

In this newsletter, you’ll find our latest podcast about gardening for health. And our spring planning guide is back for 2024. Also, since we can’t figure out how to turn off registration, Plan Your Abundant Edible Garden is still OPEN! See details below. Get your spring on, and start planning and planting!

Happy gardening,

Christy
